Circle D - 'fun, support and socials for 18-30's with diabetes'
The Circle D Rocks Project

In 2008 we worked hard and received funding in order to carry out what we called the "Circle D Rocks Project". The project was supported and funded by V a company that supports young volunteers.

The project enabled us to set up this website so thank you V!!

The project consisted of two events, the first called "Circle D Rocks" which took place on Sunday 1st February 2009  in Kent. The afternoon consisted of discussions, buffet, games and information. There was merchandise on offer and existing Circle D members also attended! It was designed to recruit new members to Circle D and to give support to other young Diabetics cos we know there are loads more of us out there! It was a great success and everyone had a great time :0)

The second event was an awareness day in a local shopping centre on Saturday 14th March 2009. The day was named Circle D...are you AWARE??? and we set up a stand and handed out leaflets and badges to shoppers. We raised awareness of Circle D as well as educating people about the common misunderstandings around diabetes such as "Diabetic's cant eat sugar!"

The project is now complete...a big thank you to all of Circle D for their input to the project...it has truly rocked!!!
